Emiko (aka Saffire Madison) is a painter, photographer, and actress. She has been active in the professional art community since 1997. Emiko participated in the New Waves Exhibit at the MOCA and won Honorable Mention. She helped form a woman's artist group, Helios and went on to raise money for a women's shelter through an art show auction. Her photography was the subject of a PBS special Virginia Currents and also donned the cover of the local paper, The Daily Break, featuring her dear friend and favorite muse Sara L. Jones. She orchestrated sponsorship of a 10 story high canvas displaying an iconic image of Jones and donated all proceeds towards breast cancer awareness. The canvas continues to inspire by being displayed every year at ODU during their Survivors' walk, honoring breast cancer survivors. She is currently exploring her acting career and has two lead roles in local TV shows.
